Farrah's room!

This week I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner home tour and it's kids rooms!  I've recently updated Farrah's room and I must say it's my favorite room in the house....haha!!  I moved most of her toys out of her room and they went onto her new playroom. 

I had her bedding custom made from KidSpace here in Lubbock.  I painted circles in a glaze so it's not real noticible but I love it!  I had her name made at Canton, TX at the trade days there.

It's so hard to say goodbye!

This week is a busy week for me.  I'm leaving on Thursday to take my niece, Quinn on her first mission trip to the Czech Rep.  I'm excited about this but having a hard time as well.  I've never been away from James for two weeks much less Farrah.

I've got the schedule all worked out with both mom's to help with Farrah so that makes it a lot easier.  I wanted to do something special for Farrah while I was gone.  I came up with this idea for Farrah to open something special from me everyday.  I didn't spend a lot of money but wanted her to have fun and it's also a count down to when mommy comes home.

I'm going to give her the baby doll at the airport when I leave so she can something fun for the day.

I'm really excited about this mission trip and know it will change lives.  Please pray for our team to be safe and really show the people of Czech how much we love them! 

Master bedroom

I love looking at different ideas for different rooms so I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner for the Master bedrooms. This is one of my favorite rooms in our house...the master bedroom! I tried to make it masculine then James said he didn't care and just wanted a comfortable bed.....haha! 
I found our comforter at Dillards. The bedroom suit is from Rooms to Go. My latest project was the letters above our headboard. That wall was blank for almost two years and then I saw these letters. I found a girly J and a manly J and crackled painted them both.

Swimming lessons!!

This year Farrah is in swimming lessons at Texas Tech.  This is her first year in the aqua tots.  She is really learning how to swim and she is doing so good!  She LOVES it!!  She is the youngest one in her class but also the bravest one...haha!! 

The first day she fell off the step and went under and just about gave this momma a heart attack!  She came up smiling and so proud of herself.  Her teacher just laughed and told her that she had to wait her turn to go under by herself.  Her teacher is so good and so patient!  One thing I really like about her teacher is she doesn't freak out if they go under on accident and she really pushes them to swim.

So glad Farrah is getting to learn to swim!  I loved swimming lessons as a kid and I know Farrah is as well.  I also know the importance of learning how to swim and being safe with the water and I'm glad Farrah will learn that too!

Flower girl!!

This last Friday, Farrah had the honor of being a flower girl for Bethany and Boone!  She was PRECIOUS!!  I must admit I was really nervous.  i never know if Farrah is going to turn shy or if she will perform.

On Thursday, she was at the rehearsal and she was so funny.  I was telling her what she was going to do and she said "Ok!"  We had to work on it...she liked running down the isle instead of walking.  This wedding was outside and it was so pretty but when you have a girl that loves digging in the dirt and playing with all the sticks it becomes pretty funny! 

We had a talk about her being a "lady" and not playing in the dirt and that the tree limbs are not drum sticks.  She just looked at me with the funniest expression and said "Just a little stick??"  This girl makes me laugh!! 

When it was time for the wedding she was great!  She loved being with all the bridesmaids and thought she was just as big as them.  And I must say, they were GREAT with her.  They all played with her and loved on her and she LOVED it! 

Farrah walked down the isle like a champ and stood for a little bit up front.  I guess she got tired and went and sat with James.  It was a beautiful wedding and the new couple were so cute!

Last day of KDO 2011-12

What a difference a year makes! When Farrah started KDO this past year she was 2 1/2 and now she is 3 1/2! She has grown and learned so much this year!

She had some AMAZING teachers this year...Mrs. Amanda and Ms. Catrina. Thinking back at the beginning of the year, Farrah has changed so much! When KDO started she had a tough time when dad dropped her off, she wouldn't eat her lunch and she wouldn't take a nap (which I didn't mind! That meant she would take a nap a home...yay me!) She has come so far...she loved going to KDO, she ate all her lunch and well the nap was a hit and miss..haha(like I said I didn't mind)!

I love seeing how much Farrah has grown and made new friends. Mrs. Amanda and Ms. Catrina were always so good with her and loved her! Thank you so much for loving on my sweetheart and just letting her blossom to who she is!

Mother's Day!

This has been a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! We started out our weekend of celebrating our mom's on Saturday. We went to my parents house and had a cookout with all my family. We had so much fun visiting and playing. My Meme was in town for the weekend and it was so great to see her!

It was fun watching my dad and brother-in-law, Lance, play with all the kids. They played so hard and wrestled in the grass and were just crazy! I can only imagine how sore my dad and Lance were today...haha!

It's so special having four generations in our family! I have learned a lot from my Meme, mom and sister. I've learned how to love, laugh, fail and succeed, patience, hard work, and push through the hard times. I am so thankful for these women in my life!

Today, we went to church and had a great service.

After church we went to James' brother's house to celebrate with his family. We always have such a great time with his family! It was crazy with all the little girls running around but so fun! James' grandmother was there so again we had four generations! I love having family so close to us. I especially love that Farrah gets to know her Great Grandparents!

So thankful to have such wonderful mother's in my life!
