Girls just want to have fun...

Today I had the pleasure of keeping some of Farrah's girlfriends. Maci, Madison and Peyton came to play for most of the day while their mommies had things to do and I must say it was fun!

We started off our morning playing outside and by the time I put sunscreen on everyone and the older girls going to the restroom I was already worn out...haha!! Farrah got a new swing set from Uncle Lance and Aunt LaJuana and the girls were so excited to play on it. That was the first thing Madison said to me this morning, "Do we get to play on the new swing set?" I brought out the sidewalk chalk and we had a blast!!

After I got the girls all and all something to drink it was lunch time and I wasn't sure how I was going to do this. I made them all grilled cheeses and chips. It was funny to look at it all cause Madison didn't want the crust, Maci's was cut in fourths and Farrah's was cut in half. It just made me laugh how different they all are.

After lunch Peyton went down for a nap so the big girls played in Farrah's room with her kitchen. It was so fun watching them "cook" and play house. Madison was in charge!! After that we read some books and then we colored. I loved sitting in my kitchen floor watching and coloring with them. They were so proud of themselves and each other.

After coloring we only had about an hour left so I gave them each a snack, their blanket and we watched Toy Story. I was pretty surprised they all sat still on the couch and watched the movie!

I've always dreamed of what it would be like with more children and I will say....its very busy! My day flew by so fast. I told James if we have four kids then I may never leave the house and I may never get a shower til midnight...haha!!! The good news is, is that I know I can and want more children. My favorite part of the day was all the giggles going on in Farrah's room!

We had a blast and thank you Kelsey and Abby for sharing your girls with me today!!

Farrah's funny phrases...

I read this on a blog and this mom wrote down some of her daughter's sayings and I think this is such a great idea. Farrah is saying some of the funniest things lately and I really want to remember them.

You walk around and say "I funny!" Even when you are getting into trouble you will look down and smile and say "mommy I funny" It's really hard not to laugh at you.

When we tickle you or chase you around the house your favorite thing to say is "stop it" I try not to tell you no all day so I say stop it and apparently you have picked up on this.

You love to sing!! You can sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, Jesus Loves Me, This Little Light of Mine, Deep and Wide, Jesus Loves the Little Children and the list goes on and on.

When you say purple it sound like your saying poopy so I usually just run you to the bathroom and you look at me like I'm crazy!

You are calling your daddy James or babe...it cracks me up!

You call Lula, Poppa and even when we correct you you will still call her Poppa.

When you want to sit in my lap you call it a yap.

You call your lovie a wobie.

When you wake up in the morning you have a roll call....You start by asking for your daddy then Nana, Dandy, Poppa, Nawna (Shawna), RaRa (Reagan), BB (Brincent), Lucas, Annika, Shoe (Roo), Kelsey, Madi, PeyPey, Heath, Abby, Maci, Quinny, Kate, Corey and Mamey (Amy). This happens EVERY morning! I love that you love all your friends and family!!

When I'm holding you, you say "I got you mommy!" Yes you do sweetheart!

I say I love you and you say "I to."

A funny this week is that you saw a statue of Uncle Sam and you called him Jesus.

There are so many more phrases and I will be adding more when I can remember them...ha!

Mother's Day!

This is my third Mother's Day!! I am so honored to be a mommy and truly blessed that God entrusted ME with Farrah. Being a mommy is one of the best things I have ever done and all the prayers we prayed for this girl to come is a dream come true! Yes, being a mommy is hard and there are days that Farrah has figured me out but all in all I know I have a job to raise my daughter to be a wonderful mommy and wife.

There are things that my mom taught me that I want to teach Farrah...

Like taking care of your children and being a good mommy.

Washing the dishes.

Doing laundry for your family.

Cooking a good meal for your family.

Never being to busy to stop and hug your momma.

But the most important thing my mom taught me was you need to be in God's word!

I just want to say to my own mom that you so much for teaching me all these things! I can remember washing dishes and cooking and doing laundry with you. Yes, you were teaching me how to be on my own but most importantly you were teaching me how to become a good wife and mom. Thank you for investing in me all these years and I just hope I can be a great mom and wife like you are!!
