Playgroup

Farrah and I are apart of a playgroup that meets once a week and we love it! At first Farrah could barley sit up by herself and now she is playing and walking with the other kids. She even has a little boyfriend...Braidy, just don't tell her dad!

Today was so much fun, we had an Easter egg hunt for all of them today. They were so cute! They got some really good practice for this weekend. Farrah wasn't to sure what to do with the eggs. She would grab them and did not want to let go and when I finally got her to let go she would look at me like why are you taking my egg away?

Last year she was only a month old but this year we are pretty excited about Easter. We just want to make sure that Farrah knows the true meaning of Easter! It wasn't til after I had Farrah that I truly understood God's love for us as His children. As a mom to Farrah I would die for he in a heartbeat but I don't really think I could let my own daughter die for the sins of others. Thank you Lord for sending you Son to die for my sins.

Is it nap time yet??

Have you ever had one of those days that you can't wait for nap time?? Today is one of those days for me and Farrah. We had an appointment this morning at 9am and by the time we left I had already lost count on how many times I had told Farrah no. No, leave your socks on, no, don't throw you food on the floor, no, don't stand on Crew, no, don't steal Crew's paci and blanket, no, keep your bow in. That was all before we got to our appointment! And I wonder why Farrah is saying no and shaking her head no. Ha!

It seems like over night she has become a little toot. I know it's an age thing and she is into EVERYTHING!! She is still so much fun and it's hard not to laugh at her when she is doing something she knows is wrong. The last couple of weeks she has started screaming in restaurants. We have had to leave a couple of times because she just won't stop. I think our restaurant places will be limited for a while. We try to eat at restaurants that are loud so they won't hear Farrah as much. I keep telling myself it's only a stage...we will out grow this too!

And then you look at that little face and she crinkles her nose and smiles and just melts your heart!! Who can stay upset with a face like that?

Just in time!

I ordered Farrah an Easter basket awhile back and I kinda forgot about it until I say the Easter baskets at the store. The poor girl was waiting on me to decide what I wanted on her basket. I looked and just couldn't decide and so I finally told her an idea of colors and another basket she had done and this is how it turned out.

I love it! The little bunny eggs go all the way around the bucket. I chose the color that matched her room and I think it's pretty stinkin adorable!

I would love to put a link to he blog but I have no idea how to, so if you go to my side bar under the People I Enjoy Reading, her blog is under the Whimsy Tins.

Springbreak fun!

Last week was such a fun week! The first part of the week was exhausting but we survived knowing that we had a fun weekend ahead. We started out by getting our house ready to put on the market. We worked so late every night and were worn out but it was so worth it! We had our house on the market for two days and got an offer! We signed all the paperwork yesterday and have to be out by April 22nd, and yes we already have a house that we found and we love. I was surprised by one thing though...we have lived in this house for eleven years and when it we finally realized that our house really did sell I got emotional. We have so many great memories in this house. We have lost babies in this home, brought Farrah home to this house and we have my beloved Rugby (my favorite dog ever) buried here at this home. I ask James if he would dig Rugby up so we could take him and I got a your crazy look. We have remodeled this house all on our own and I love this house. If it was bigger I would stay here. On to better and bigger homes and I am very thankful that our home was so easy to sell.

We finally got away and we hit DFW hard! We shopped, ate and played our little hearts out. We were joined by my mom and dad and my nephew, Lucas and my niece, Annika. We had so much fun and Farrah loved playing with her cousins. Friday we went to Six Flags and it was so crowded! We waited in lines forever but it was fun to see Lucas and Annika so excited to ride the rides. Farrah even got to ride a little ride and she LOVED it. This is another dream come true for me. James and I both love theme parks and water parks and to be able to take our family one day was such a blast. I can't wait to take a family vacation when our family is grown and we can all ride the big rides together.

We made the rounds to our favorite spots...the guys went to Bass Pro and Cabelas and us girls went to Grapevine Mills and South Lake Town Square. Good thing we took two cars!

Last year we took Farrah to DFW when she was three weeks old. James took Farrah to Bass Pro and was so proud to take his daughter there and there was no difference this year. I think Farrah loves going with him there.

Daddy and Farrah last year.

Daddy and Farrah this year...what a difference a year makes! Yes, that's snow!

Slow down baby!!

Farrah has had a BIG day today!! Last night I told James that the bottles are going into hiding and here come the sippy cups. As I was washing the bottles James couldn't believe that our baby wasn't a baby any longer. We were both saying it's time for another baby! Farrah LOVES her bottles and I was dreading dropping the bottles. I had read on the internet how to switch from bottles to sippy cups and how your child will be miserable for up to three days! That day one will be horrible and day two is a little better and by day three they are so thirsty that they will finally take the sippy cup. I know this is the right thing to do for Farrah but I didn't want this to be hard for her. So we got up this morning and I fed her breakfast and I got the sippy and said a little prayer. I gave her the sippy and she pulled it out of her mouth and I was thinking...here it goes she is about to loose it. She looked at the cup and inspected it and then put it back in her mouth and drank all of it. I was so relieved!

Then this morning she was playing with Crew and was standing up all by herself so I got the idea to see if she would walk to me. I held my hands out and she took one step so I wasn't real sure if that was a real step so I put her a little further back and she took three steps all by herself!! I knew she was close to walking and it was so sweet to see her and she was so proud of herself!

Farrah you are doing so many fun things right now and you make my day everyday!

Here is a couple of pictures of the little Ms.

This picture of Farrah cracks me up. For all of you who think Farrah never cries.

We were about to go to dinner with the Watts and Louders and I just had to get a picture of how cute she was and this is what I got.

I wanted to see if I could get "pig tails" on Farrah and this is what it looks like....pretty darn cute if you ask me!

What's Farrah up to...

Oh miss Farrah you are up to a lot these days! We went to see Dr. G today and you are becoming a big girl.

You weigh 19lbs 10oz (25th percentile)
You are 30.2 inches tall (90th percentile)
and your head is in the 75th percentile

You are adding new words and you FINALLY said mama. You don't say it very much but you said it and your daddy heard it to!

You are so close to walking. You want to take my fingers and walk everywhere and you get very upset when I let go.

You are so funny. You have learned to blow kisses are you are VERY dramatic about it. You have learned more baby language. You can say more and all done and we are working on please and thank you. You are giving five's. You are winking which is my personal favorite.

You are very tender hearted. You can get your feeling hurt very easy on some things but on other things I see you dig your heels in...will be interesting in a few years.

Every month I say this is my favorite and again this is my favorite age. You are growning up so fast and no longer a "baby" and seeing you change into a toddler is so much fun. Love you sweet angel girl!
